Saturday, June 27, 2026 is an all day and night affair. Three dives during the day and then we stop on Gilligan's deserted island for a BBQ. Once our bellies are filled we pack up and head out for a night dive!

The Northwind On Manitoulin Island
Join us July 23 to July 26, 2026 for one of the most amazing wreck diving experiences, exploring the shipwreck Northwind in the North Channel of Lake Huron on Manitoulin Island.
The Northwind Shipwreck is perfect for advanced and technical divers. The Northwind measures 300′ long, in depths of 75′-140′.
Diver Level: Divers must have a minimum Advanced Certification and cold water experience to dive the Northwind. This trip is open to divers at advanced and beyond but wreck penetration into the Northwind is only for divers properly trained with appropriate gear.
Trip Details
Trip includes two days diving and three nights accommodation in shared apartments in Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island.
Accommodations are from Thursday night to Sunday morning.
Diving is two dives per day with morning and afternoon departures from Kagawan. Diving is Friday and Saturday. We will be coming back to the dock for lunch and our surface interval where you will also be able to get air fills.
Not included is scuba gear, tanks, air fills, meals & gratuities. Groundhog Divers has rentals available.
This wreck has everything you want in a dive and is a great opportunity to do some training on deco procedures, doubles, sidemount, etc. Talk to Grounhog Divers about what training is best suited for you.

Terms and Conditions
Diver Responsibility: All divers are responsible for insuring they have the appropriate scuba gear for cold water diving as well as redundancy and exposure protection. No scuba gear, tanks or weights are included. If rentals are needed the diver is responsible for picking them up in store during retail hours. All divers are expected to only attend dives within their diver certification level and experience. Lastly, unsafe divers putting themselves and others at risk may be asked to leave.
Cancellation Policy: All payments are non refundable unless the trip/charter goes full or you are able to fill your spot. If the charter is cancelled by the boat operator due to weather or unforeseen events, a refund or credit will be issued. Deposit: $100 upon sign up. Full amount is due by May 1, 2026.

Family Weekend

We have a great weekend planned for our 6TH annual Tobermory family weekend!
Camping is available at Happy Hearts Campground Friday and Saturday night.
Choose from rustic cabins, trailer and tent sites.
We will start Saturday morning with an advanced charter and then continue in the afternoon, This charter will be suitable for open water divers.
Prices:
One Charter per person: $150.00 member price $140
​Two Charters per person: $250 member price $240
Camping/cabins Approx. *$165 per person (includes a potluck dinner, meat and confectionary supplied by SHDC​.)

There is always a fun event scheduled for Saturday evening but you have to attend to find out what is instore.
As an add on, come and spend an extra night with us! We are working on accommodations for Thursday night. On Friday, prepare for an adventurous day of diving, and if there's enough interest, we’ll organize a private charter for an unforgettable experience.
