Scuba Hogs Dive Community is going to Gilboa Ohio.

The trip will take place May 16,17,18 &19. The quarry is located at 3763 Old State Rte 224, Ottawa, OH 45875, United States.
This is some great diving! Many of us have visited here in the past and it is a fantastic location to train and just explore.
The quarry is under new ownership and the management have done a lot of work improving the training platforms, adding new platforms, features and easier accessibility to the water. The quarry has placed many objects in the water for you to discover such as school buses, boats, passenger airplanes, Sikorsky helicopters, an underwater forest, and many more items to find.

Gilboa also has a nice camp ground for those who would like to camp. If you plan to camp contact the quarry directly to reserve a site +1 419-456-3300. Alternatively if you would like to stay in a hotel, Findlay has several hotels and motels to offer. Gilboa quarry has arrangements with the Drury Inn Findlay. The Drury Inn located in Findlay has a corporate rate for people diving at Gilboa which is $159 USD for a 2 bed suite. If you would like to stay at the Drury please contact the Drury Inn Findlay directly to reserve your room +1 419-422-9700. Please ensure when making your reservation you ask for the Gilboa Quarry corporate rate. The Red Roof Inn is another option at a more economical price located across the street from the Drury. For entry into Gilboa Quarry you will need to complete the Gilboa waiver. Currently the quarry charges $35-40 day, $15 for water front parking, $10.70/fill.

This is a self-book trip. Call to book the hotel or camp ground of your choice. Please add your name to the sign-up sheet so we know who is coming. As we get closer to the date we will set up an itinerary as to dive times, meals, etc. There are some rooms on hold at the Red Roof Inn under Scuba Hogs. Let them know you are with our group when you call.

Niagara River Drift Dive
Where: Niagara River (exact site tbd)
When : Saturday June 7 2025
Join us for a couple of drift dives down the Niagara River. The Niagara River is the perfect site for a drift dive. It has many entry points and lots of interesting things to see along your dive, like a barge, that with a little planning you can drift over top. There are also lots of big fish to see throughout the dive. Gloves and boots are necessary because there are sharp zebra mussels. Don’t forget to bring extra weights. Depths can vary from 20-40 feet. A dive float and flag (sausage type floats not recomended)

We have a great weekend planned for our forth annual Tobermory family weekend!
Camping is available at Happy Hearts Campground Friday and Saturday night.
Choose from rustic cabins, trailer and tent sites.
We will start Saturday morning with shore dives or join us on our morning charter and / or an afternoon charter.
Prices:
one Charter per person $140.00 member price $130
​two Charters per person $240 member price $230
Camping / cabins Approx. *$130 per person (includes a pot luck dinner, meat and confectionary supplied by SHDC​.

Saturday, September 6 is an all day and night affair. Three dives during the day and then we stop on an island for a corn roast. Once our bellies are filled we pack up and head out for a night dive!
